FLOODING IN THE AREA.  The County's single number for reporting incidences of flooding before, during or after the flooding event is 0344 800 8013, that is the Norfolk Flooding Hotline.  If there are no records of inquiries/calls being made then there will be limited evidence to devote future resources to our flood risk areas.  So please report any flooding issues.  If people or property are in immediate danger from floodwater call 999.

Stanfield Parish Council has a full compliment of Parish Councillors, so currently there are no vacancies.

What does a Parish Councillor do?  A Parish Councillor is a member of the Parish Council,.  They are usually elected for a term of 4 years but they can also be co-opted onto the Parish Council if a vacancy arises mid-term or seats remain unfilled after an Election.  Councillors are elected to represent the views of the Community and to consider the needs of the local environment.  Councillors are the first point of contact for anyone in the Village with a Community issue and they can attend the bi-monthly Parish Council meetings to discuss Council business and to hear from members of the Public.  Councillors must abide by a Code of Conduct and declare any Pecuniary (Financial) Interests they may have in the Parish and this information is held on a Register by Breckland District Council.  Many Councillors see their role as a rewarding form of Public Service.
